RINGTONES/MP3

Meshe & Moon Circus - Band Leader/Producer

Meshe wants to see you smile.  She'd be extra-ordinarily happy if you danced, and might possibly pass out with bliss if you sang, danced and smiled along all at once.  She has been creating musical offerings to serve that purpose since 2005.

Meshe can be found singing in yoga studio's, at shows (see Calendar at right) and possibly anywhere you invite her.  It is best to lure her out with the promise of taking good care of the Circus, remembering that the more the merrier!

Right now, Meshe is finishing up some recordings (see Be A Producer), setting up tours and finishing a music video (AMAZING!) for Humanity, to support The Global Family Project.

Jean Tejkel & Moon Circus - Upright Bass

Jean wrote a bio for this site.  However, the truth was veiled in realism, so i've taken over.  Who am i?  Yes.  Jean rocks.  She plays by ear.  She reads charts.  She is extremely good natured.  For example, if, say, during a set, the lead singer (most likely afflicted with LSD- Lead Singer Disease) says, "no, i'm not going to play the bridge now", but then does, Jean will simply follow perfectly and mutter, "you said you weren't going to play the bridge".

This makes Jean the most perfect bassist. Ever.

Christine Allen & Moon Circus - Percussion

Christine!  On her pared-down kit, she bossa's and swings, filling out Moon Circus' bottom end.  With a gracious and subtle touch, Christine plays in many groups throughout BC, at festivals and at venues in Vancouver.  We are most fortunate to have her playing with us!

John & Moon Circus - Writer/Musician

Playing with John is like a big hug, like floating in an ocean or like sunbathing on a huge warm boulder.  Skilled in guitar and songwriting, his most recent passion is banging on things and muttering about triplets.  John plays regularily at the Three Jewels Kirtan and doesn't leave the house without his travel guitar and drum sticks.

Anna Kemble & Moon Circus - Harmonies

Anna brings her amazing soprano to Moon Circus.  With a background in dance, music and all things love, Anna is a joy to sing with!  www.annakemble.com

Roch Gallo & Moon Circus - Writer/Producer

Roch doesn't write his own bio's.  Nor does he change guitar strings, although he is both an incredible writer and guitarist.  His resume is well rounded out by the fact that he makes a fabulous cup of coffee.  Having written multiple songs on "The Me Shell" (which he co-produced with Meshe), he also contributed songs to "The Moondrops" and was a huge part of several songs on "Under the Covers".  Roch is, in fact, the raison d'etre of "Under the Covers".  He is available these days for session work (guitar/drums/bass/producing/writing) in Montreal and Vancouver.

Roisin & Moon Circus - Trumpet, Smiling Big

Roisin is no stranger to circuses. Having been a member of the Carnival band -an activist, street, community band based out of East Vancouver- for just shy of 2 years has opened her to a world of haphazard music making.  At a moment's notice she dresses up and makes eclectic brass music anywhere to make a statement of positivity!  She also plays trumpet/piano/vocals in a wide variety of ensembles and genres from funk to classical to jazz and folk.  She currently is a devoted karma yogi and student of jazz piano at VCC.

Quinn & Moon Circus - Cello, Shakespeare Quoting

Quinn.  Nothing quite describes him.  He eludes words like a cloud escapes description.  He most likely would laugh loudly at this bio, which will have to do until he returns from his mad journeying around the world.

David Yates - Digeridoo

Every circus needs a cowboy.  David recorded Digeridoo on the new version of Humanity (being released soon!) He also plays a variety of percussion instruments and teaches dance.

Mystery Soloist - Violin/Trumpet/Cello

What happens when there are 6:1 guitarists to violinists?  We get the pleasure of having a rotating cast of soloists, depending on their availability!  Last gig was the lovely Michael Fraser (www.michaelfraserviolin.com) and soon it will be Clara the Sidewalk Cellist!  http://radio3.cbc.ca/bands/Sidewalk-Cellist  All very exciting and fresh, each show.

Michael Ertzinger - Trumpet

Meshe met Michael at Capilano's Jazz Program.  Never having been exposed to the divine sound of Miles Davis-the trumpet captivated her ear.  Michael obliges this trumpet passion by occasionally crossing the bridge and letting Meshe record to her heart's delight.  He can be heard on This Time, Magnet, The Return and songs that we will be releasing soon!

Doug Fury - Mixer, Mastering, Big Ears

On the day Meshe decided to go to "a real studio" to record drums and mix, she pulled Doug's name out of the phonebook and hasn't had to use that phonebook since.  Doug has the best ears, a great way with Protools, the sweetest studio (www.fortissimosound.com) and can skillfully listen to Roch talk about Montreal food while eating pizza, all with great patience and humour-which inspires and creates the perfect place to finish a song.

Joel Fountain - Session Drummer, Percussion

Joel is the incredible drummer on tracks like Summertime and Feeling Good.  He comes to the studio with enthusiasm, impeccable technique and bursting creativity.  We love Joel!  (www.joelfountain.com)
